Funky4Corners Presents Jamboree

Thursday April 13th in Waipahu at the Filcom Center another funky4corners competition was held.

The first thing I noticed was how young some of the crews there were. There is a brilliant next generation of dancers and breakers here in Hawaii’s scene that not too many people know about. One of the most talented and youngest performers was Louie who was only 11 years old and he gave a fierce competition in the power battle. Another favorite of the crowds and mine was the 808 crew. There were so many awesome solo performers and crews like the Lil Rockin Rascals, MiniMoxm, Red Eye Jedi., B Boy Ruckus, Solid and Even the Weirdo I could just keep going.

Events like this leave you inspired and wanting more. Somewhere in the music, the friendly faces, and the energy you just get lost in the scene. We’re not here to just talk about the winners of the battle, it’s more about all of the people who participated and rocked it. Our hats are off to all of you who competed!
